Whilst   it   is   over   a   year   since   the   Covid   lock-downs   ceased,we   are   conscious   that   the   rate of   infection   remains   high.   We   therefore   have   maintained   a   number   of   arrangements   which minimise the risk of anyone contacting the virus on a walk. MEETING POINT FOR WALKS We   are   continuing   to   meet   at   the   start   of   each   walk,   rather   than   at   a   point   in   Stafford. Information   on   each   walk   is   circulated   by   e-mail   on   the   preceding   Thursday.   Non-members ask to be added to the circulation list by contacting  srg.information@gmail.com. As   a   result,   we   are   no   longer   publishing   a   six-monthly   programme.   Instead,   we   are   using e-mail   to   circulate   the   latest   list   of   walks   planned   and   this   is   summerised   on   our   web   page ‘Walks 2022’.   CAR SHARING We   support   car   sharing   for   the   environmental   and   economic   benefits.   However,   we   believe that this is best organised informally between members who are happy to travel together. Passengers   receiving   a   lift   should   offer   to   share   the   travel   costs,   which   we   suggest   is calculated at 30p per mile and shared by all in the car, including the driver. HEALTH WARNINGS If   you   are   suffering   any   of   the   publicised   symptoms   of   Covid   or   have   recently   been   in contact   with   anyone   suffering   from   the   disease,   please   do   not   walk   with   usuntil   the   risk   of infecting other walkers has passed.
